We loved this campground. There are lots of sites on the river and the sites have space between them so you aren't jammed against your neighbor. Good fishing in the river. Owners are very willing to please. The restrooms are very clean.
This is one of the nicer Durango campgrounds. They have a pool and a small stream in the campground. The river is nearby but you can't get to it from the campground. The bathrooms were clean, but they only had curtains for privacy in the shower dressing area. Like most Durango campgrounds, the sites are close together.
This is a great campground. It can be a little muddy in wet weather, but its still nice. Bath houses are heated and clean. Staff is friendly and willing to help. They gave us some great advice on where to fish.
This is a very nice KOA and we have been staying here on our Colorado trips since the early 1980's. There is a cafe on site where you can get breakfast, BBQ, and other tasty meals. Jeeps are available for rent on site. Friendly staff.
We spent one night here over Labor Day Weekend. They accepted our 1 night reservation without any problems (unlike other campgrounds who want to force you to reserve 3 nights on holiday weekends). Even though they were full, the place was clean and pleasant. Very nice location and setting. Staff welcoming and friendly.
Rumors are this campground is closed but it was open for 2006. Lots of shade. Bathrooms are VERY clean but be aware that the showers are pay showers. Have some quarters with you. If you don't need a resort, this is a nice place to stay in the Denver/Georgetown area.
This is a nice camp. Lots of shady sites. Restrooms were very clean and the pool was nice too. The Durango steam train goes right through the camp. Staff was friendly.
We have stayed at this campground a number of times over the years and always enjoy our stay. However in late June, July, and early August, it is very crowded. There are a lot of very nice sites, although some of the pull throughs and full hookup sites on the stream are all gravel with no grass. There are plenty of grassy and shady water and electric sites. Cafe on site has good food at decent prices. Jeeps can be rented on site at competitive rates. Friendly staff. Clean unisex restrooms and showers are available.
We stayed here in August 2005 and had a good experience. Restrooms were clean and staff friendly. However if you are expecting a "resort", you will be disappointed. There are very nice riverfront sites and pond sites. Good fishing in the river. There are a few seasonal people here, but not many. The minuses are there are RV's stored in the middle of the camp. Also, the playground and pool aren't that great. Overall we were happy with our experience.
Very nice camp with shady sites. Computers available in the office for internet access. Clean restrooms. Pavilions available for group use. Friendly staff. Only downside is the layout in some parts of the camp is a little strange and you can end up driving through empty sites to get to other sites. Not a big deal.
